Does anyone here bill DME to Medicare?

The question I am being asked is this, they supply surgical dressing. Normally they receive recurring signed orders for the patients.

Is it true that they only need a signed order from the physician for those patients once every three months to order more.
Someone please let me know.
 
Coverage determination

Surgical wound supply coverage depends on place of service such as acute care center, nursing home and also Medicare determination Part A or Part B. Probably, they may allow a 1 month of supply per medical necessity.
