My doctors want to start doing PEG procedures (43246) in their GI ASC. Previously, they've always done them at the hospital. Does anyone have experience with billing this? Do you have any trouble with reimbursement for the professional and/or facility charges from any carriers in particular? We are located in Southern Calif. Thanks!

Our GI Docs perform 43246 occasionally and we have never had a problem getting reimbursed, as long as the diagnosis supports the procedure.
