and get paid?
From a billing prospective is it possible for our practice, gastroenterology, to begin doing EKG's for patients who be will having their procedure done at the hospital. I am not sure if this is billable, considering it is a requirement of the hospital and not us. The patients are always complaining about having to go to the hospital for priority testing and a lot of them don't go until the day of their procedure and this holds up the cases, etc. We were just wondering if this would be possible for us to do and bill.
Anyone have an answer on this, can a gastroenterologist bill for an EKG and get paid? (I cross posted this under gastroenterology, but wanted other opinions so I posted it here as well)
thanks!
