I have a provider that will see patients in the office setting and then go to the hospital to see patients, then will do all his dictation for the day (even the office) at the hospital on the hospitals letter head. In my opinion, this is a problem, but do not know where to find any rules to support my opinion. Can anyone point me in the right direction if I am correct?

He's obviously keeping down his transcription costs. Unless he is failing to indicate the place of service, then I do not see the issue. Do his dictations from the office find their way back as permanent entries into the office health record? If so, then share your concerns in more detail, because that is the only concern I conjure.
