Does ankle instability support Brostrom procedure? 27695?

Doc turned in op note with Brostrom procedure performed. Only dx I can see that I could link to it is ankle instability. However, in checking my Encoder, ankle instability does not support 27695. Only sprains does. Does anyone know if ankle instability will support a Brostrom?

I have been paid for Brostrom with ankle instability code, however, that was before I-10 and it was on 27698
27695 is for primary repair - so you would "expect" an acute code
Ankle instability by itself in I-10 is kind of not specific - I typically will see "instability due to old injury/ chronic tear" ...but again that was for secondary repair 27698
I would think you should probably query provider.....prior to a denial
