Scenario: Patient had 1000 ml therapeutic hydration ordered. Roughly 400 ml given while in our facility when critical labs came back and decision to transfer patient to hospital was made. Patient was loaded into ambulance with IV still running. Should we count the remaining 600 ml as waste? We don't know if IV was continued once patient left our facility.
