I bill for a group of hospitalist. We see the primary care physician patient that are in the hospital. If the primary care decide to come in and see the patient along with the hospitalist(that are internal medicine physician)on the same date is there a way that both can bill? We add modifier AI to the 99221-99923 showing we are admitting but how should we handle daily visit billing for the two physicians or can we? They are two different practices
