Our MAC has always allowed us to submit anatomical path charges by a global fee using the DOS as the day the specimen was collected. We have received notice that this may change, and we will be required to submit TC and professional components separately with the DOS for the TC the day the specimen was collected and the professional component DOS for the day it was completed. Is anyone else facing this or already doing it this way?

This requirement would require some system-wide changes for us. :eek: One question we are not sure of is how special stains would be handled. What is the DOS for the TC portion: the day the specimen was collected or the day the stain was done?

Would appreciate some feedback!
