Hello,

Quick question: One of my Doctors is asking if he can charge the 28296 with the 28310/59 instead of just charging the double Osteotomy 28299?
Does anyone charge both and gets paid or it should always be the 28299 when he does 28296 and 28310?

if you bill it with 2 codes instead of 28299 that would be unbundling. 28310 has the separate procedure notation meaning its included in a higher value procedure. Its only billable when its done on its own. 28299 already describes the whole procedure.
