Need help!! Patient had an open abscess on abdomen. Doctor did not need to incise but put pressure on it and it drained pus and blood. Doctor did not document History or Examination on patient-just vitals. What code should I use--10060 even though no incision was performed. Not enough information documented for an office visit. Thanks
 
if there is not enough documenation to support an office visit, my guess is that you dont have enough documenation to support the procedure either. I would request supporting documentation from your provider for either/or both.
