I work for a pain specialist. We are about to start doing our own billing verses using a billing service. Our question is how to price and bill medication? We use bupivicaine, kenalog, lidocaine, propofol, etc. and don't always use the whole bottle. Shouldn't we charge for the whole bottle since we can't always reuse it? Or do you only charge for the mL or mG used during the procedure?

Need some advice!!!! Please!

you should refer to your 2014 HCPCS book, this will help you in regards to dosage and guidelines also there is a drug fee schedule (we have WPS J8 mac B)
it lists the allowable for each drug and usage. hope this helps :)
