My center is going to start doing "Dry run lithotripsies" -Let me clarify---we had 1 patient with a "dry run lithotripsy" where they could not view (via fluoroscopy) the renal calculus due to bowel gas, so the lithotripsy was cancelled. Does anyone know how to handle this? Should it be 50590-73 and 76496? Thank you.

Also-would you use the surgery cancelled dx code with bowel gas code in addition to the calculus code? Thank you!
