My question is about coding a dual stage cannula.
Op Note
CABG x 3 (left internal mammary artery to LAD, reverse saphenous vein graft from aorta to 1st obtuse marginal, aorta to posterolateral branch of right coronary artery)
Before the CABG was performed a the area was cannulated between concentric pledgeted pursestring sutures. Dual-stage venous cannula was inserted through the right atrial appendage. Internal mammary artery was then clipped distally, made ready for distal anastomosis.
I am wanting to know if I coded the CABG correctly and can I code for the cannula or is it bundled with the CABG. I have searched for a code with no luck.
