Good morning!
Ok, so I know what CCI edits are and how to deal with them. I know a column 1 code is more comprehensive than column 2 code and blah, blah blah!
What I am not clear on is how to use the CMS excel spread sheet for it. I get how to filter the codes and what the excel columns mean (mod allowed or not) but what I cannot figure out is, if I do not know if it is a column one of column 2 code how do I know where to apply the filter?
Does this question make sense?

Thanks Doreen, I should have said that i have already scoured that how to guide.
I meant to go back and edit my question to include that but got busy!

Thanks again though!!

When I'm not sure if it's column 1 vs. column 2, I just filter both codes in both columns. If one of the codes is not a column 2 code it won't show up in the second column filter. For instance if you filter column 1 for codes 29823,29824,29827 and then try to filter the same code for column 2, only 29823 is available to filter.

Does this help or make it more confusing?
