Durable Medical Equipment for Medicare patient

Gave patient DME from the office supply L4360 for trimalleolar fracture in January 2025. Follow up visit in February and patient was given L1902. DME carrier denied "equipment is the same or similar to equipment already being used. My question, has anybody had any success appealing? My tendency is to take adjustment, but not sure. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
