We recently received two separate denials for diagnosis code 465.9 stating it is an invalid code. ... I thought this code was currently still ok. Has anyone got an update regarding this code I haven't found? Thanks very much.
 
Are you sure the denial states invalid code? or does does it state code lacks specificity. This is a valid but unspecified code. It would be best to chose a specified site.
 
Dx 465.9

It states: "The primary diagnosis code is not a valid diagnosis code. Please verify and resubmit." AND it also states: "The diagnosis code is invalid and no longer effective for the date of service. Please verify and resubmit." We feel it is a good diagnosis code for the date of service 02-16-12. Any other thoughts on this? thanks so much for responding.
