pt has the studies and does not have a stroke
What would I use for Diagnosis code?

code symptoms if no dx is made

I would code the patient symptoms that the doctor documented that led him to order the tests. Most carriers have specific requirements (symptoms or dx) to justify and reimburse for the tests so be sure to check this first.

Is it possible that the patient had a stroke and this is a study to look at residual effects? I think you need information from the physician office.
