How would you code (diagnosis) for neonates in NICU (we are physician billing, no facility) where the physician is monitoring neonates born to moms who are GBS+ but baby is not showing any signs or symptoms. Mom could have had antibiotics or not. Physicians feel we need a diagnosis to show they are being monitored. Saying that, the neonates have several other diagnosis that we use because they are in the NICU for several reasons.
