I'm trying to find a code for liver mass, suspected liver cancer. Any suggestions? Thank you

You look under key word mass and then liver . You will get an R code for the symptom. You cannot code a diagnosis for suspected conditions.

I use the R code alone until there is proof of the cancer. I add the code for elevated cancer antigen R97.1, when documented as well. I do outpatient coding, If it is inpatient coding you can code suspected and/or probable in certain situations.
