Wiki Dx sequencing??

I have a pt seen in office before chemo tx. Dr has dx listed in chart note as:

CA Mets to Intrathoracic LN 196.1 (primary dx)
Lung CA, L Upper Lobe 162.3 (secondary dx)

The patient is having chemo for the Lung CA. Should the primary dx be 162.3Lung CA, L Upper Lobe?

Is there a reference for coding dx sequencing?

The coding cover this and you are correct you sequence the one being currently treated first

If the lung is what you are treating at this visit it should be the first listed diagnosis.
