We have an 18 year old patient with suspected TRAPS. We are needing to send an authorization for treatment/testing to her insurance.

Since this is only a suspected TRAPS case, I need to clarify that we can only diagnosis the symptoms, and not TRAPS?

Code the signs/symptoms. Diagnoses that are listed as suspected, possible or rule/out should NOT be coded until the diagnosis is confirmed.
