What is the dx code for Non-insulin dependent diabetes?
 
Non-insulin dependent diabetes is still just diabetes. The correct code for this is 250.00, as it is not specified as to what type and/or if it is controlled or not. If insulin dependence is stated then it would still be 250.00 but you would also code V58.67 for the long term use of insulin.
