PT is seen for recheck and MVA follow up . is it possible to charge 99213 to two different insurance in the same DOS one for office visit and one for auto insurance ?

The few times I have seen this happen where I work we have the encounter audited by our onsite auditors and they "split" the code into two encounters. The piece pertaining to the auto gets an audit and code and the piece for the follow up gets an audit and code. Both are usually low level codes but we consider this the correct way to accurately bill. Ideally these would have been two appointments but ideally often doesn't happen :)
