Hi all,

When my doc does a consult at the hospital (in- or outpatient) before an ablation or EP study, is this billable or part of the global?

What is the global for these procedures?

Would I use a 25 or 57 modifier?

EP Studies/Ablations have a 0 day global so you would be using the -25 modifier on consults that were done the same day as these studies.

Your provider isn't seeing these patients prior to planned procedures correct? If the provider is seeing the patients prior to an elective procedure then it would be not separately billable.
