Can you bill time by face to face of the attending only or combine with the resident time face to face with the patient?

I believe there are exceptions for some primary care (does not apply to me, so not familiar with the nuances), but resident time is generally not counted.

My understanding is that if two providers see the patient during the same visit, you can only count the time of one of them and you may not add the time for both doctors together.
