My doctor did a follow up on a patient who had a mass removal from the neck. The patient was seen in the office to get surgery clearance for a camping trip. My doctor didn't do the surgery nor is he doing the post op management. Should I code a 99024 or a regular office visit?

The 99024 should only be used if your physician or a physician in the same practice with same specialty is handling the post op mgmt. for the patient. Since this was for a totally different situation all together you would code for a regular office visit
