E/M interactive worksheet for Florida Medicare

Wonder if the Florida MAC - is referencing the MDM category for Section C only. There are 3 columns under Section C - the heading of that section is: Risk of Complications and/or Morbidity or Mortality. The sections are further divided into 3 columns titled: Presenting Problem(s), Diagnostic Procedure(s) Ordered, and Management Options Selected. We believe that the comment stating that the highest level in any one category - is referring to this Section C only.

You would then look at Section A, Section B and Section C (in the MDM section) to calculate the MDM level.

If you would like further clarification - it is difficult to answer this without looking at the audit tool together. My email is sharon.bolarakis@navigant.com If you email me please put the Thread name in the subject line. Sharon
