Wiki E/M visit with medical student.

I have a question about what the boundaries are for billing dictation done by a medical student when the e/m was done with our physician. The medical student does the dictation and the doc writes on the note that the patient was seen and examined by him as well as the med student and the makes some medical decision comments. Is it okay to bill this under the physician?

You can only use the physician's documentation to bill - with the exception of the ROS & PFSH, no other part of a student's note may be used to support a physician service. I've attached a link to the MFR for Teaching Physicians:
