Wiki E&M with I&D?

Hello,

Patient visit was for a boil In her right arm pit. However, provider did a procedure which was a simple I&D. The codes used is the E&M 99213 with dx L72.3. Would I code the 10060 separately? Please advise.

Yes, with a 25 modifier on the E/M .

If the modifier is supported by documentation of a separately identifiable service, that is. If the only thing done was the I&D, then that's all that should be billed.
