Hi,

Has ICD-10 Code E78.0 been deleted? And what has it been replaced with? I have been getting denials when using this ICD-10 code as primary DX.

Thanks

Effective October 1, 2016 E78.0 was revised. It is a subcategory and not valid as a code. Your software should have been updated for this and you should have had 2017 codebooks that show this change. There are mandatory 5th characters needed to complete this into a valid code. You will need to look it up to figure out which one you need.
