Hello everyone,
We have been having discussions on these 2 CMS links to check on the medical necessity for the complete Echo code 93306.
1. A57306 - https://www.cms.gov/medicare-coverage-database/view/article.aspx?articleid=57306&ver=32&= - Dx I11.9 is allowed only for 93308
2. A56781 - https://www.cms.gov/medicare-coverage-database/view/article.aspx?articleid=56781&ver=27&= - Dx I11.9 is allowed under Group 1 for 93306
Am I reviewing this correctly?
Which article do you refer for medical necessity to bill the Echos for your practice. Can anyone share your thougts on this and guide us?
 
Both are valid LCDs, but both are not valid for you. You need to click the dropdown for "Contractor Information" and determine which jurisdiction and state applies to you. That is the LCD you follow.

I do have a follow up question: I am looking for Arizona state and this is not listed under both links.
1. What do we do when ithe state is not listed?
2. If I want to look up, is there anyother easy way to find the LCD for our Jurisdiction for any CPT code? I am adding it to get additional response on this: since we donot have any LCD for 93306 for Arizona state, if anyone has link for NCD guidelines for 93306 , can you please share it here?
