I have never coded for cardiology before but her I am trying to muddle through this. I have a DR doing echocardiographs outpatient. How do I code this. I have no indication on the report whether they were done transesophageal or transthoracic & when I tried to contact his office his manager stated they are the regular ones. If they were either or the the two i just mentioned it would be stated in the report? Does this make sense to anyone because it doesnt to me. How would you code this then?
