Hello,

Any ECW users out there. My Dr. is wanting to put a sentence on his progress notes stating that he uses DragonSpeak and there could be some typographical errors. I keep getting conflicting answers from ECW as to whether this can be done or not. Was just curious if anyone out there had this type of thing on their progress note and if so how they got it on there.

We are with eCW and several providers use Dragon. I think it's a great idea to add a disclaimer. Not sure if there would be any compliance issues with that, but I am looking into it. My concern would be that some of the errors I see really change what is being said, which could cause patient safety risk, and so if the providers use the disclaimer, are they not going to edit for accuracy.

Curious to see other responses.
