Wiki ECMO + Critical Care E/M

Good afternoon,

If I were to submit a subsequent visit critical care E/M code (i.e. 99291) + a daily management of ECMO (33948) would I use modifier -25 or -59?

the insertion of the ECMO would carry a 90 global period so you should bill the critical care with a 24 not a 25

The 2015 ECMO codes do not carry a 90 day global period.
