what is the correct circumstance to bill 33960? If my provider did not insert, however is managing...would it be ok to bill? if so how does he document the time? this is the first time we have had a case like this, and there is very little guidance on the internet. Please help!

The ECMO codes are not time based you would report 33960 for the initial day management and 33961 for each subsequent day. The catheter placement if performed is 36822.
