Helloo!!! I'm looking for any insight please. My thoughts are billing 59120 for laparotomy RT salpingectomy, but I'm not sure if should I bill 58800-58805 for RT ovarian cyst drainage also???Or if it's already bundled in 59120?? Thanks in advance!!!!
Preoperative dx: RT ectopic pregnancy
Postoperative dx: Same
Procedure: Mini laparotomy via Pfannenstiel, RT salpingectomy, RT ovarian cyst drainage.
Procedure description: A moist laparotomy sponge was used to pack the bowel away from the operative field. The uterus was visualized alongside the right fallopian tube and ovary w/ the findings above. The right fallopian tube was grasped at the fimbriated end and the LigaSure device was used to ligate the mesosalpinx moving medially. At the cornea the fallopian tube was transected from the uterus and removed from the abdomen. The right ovary was noted to have a 2 to 3 cm simple cyst which was incised and drained. Pelvic cavity was irrigated and drained. Good hemostasis was confirmed throughout. The abdomen was inspected and again there was no evidence of injury to the bowel, vasculature. The procedure was felt to be successful at this time.
