Our gastro DR visited the patient in the ED, after review of pt decided to bring them to the "endoscopy suite" (outside of the ED) on the same day for EGD.
Dr wants to bill/code:
99282-25
43247 (removal of foreign body -food bolus)
Our doctor does not run the ED, but was consulted to come see the patient in the ED, and after seeing patient subsequently decided to immediately perform an EGD at the other building (still part of the hospital, but not in the ED). And that was it. Our doctor did not see the patient any other day after.
I would have thought to bill this as:
99219-25
43247
