My office and I are having a difficult time getting ED visit approved. Here is the situation:
The patient came into the ED(POS 23) and was seen by hospitalist code used was 99284; on the same day m provider(peds surgeon) for H&P. My provider billed a 99219 but I change it to 99204.
Should I have not billed 99204? If not, what code to use?
