ok gang, what am I missing??? question is:
4) Can you report CPT® code 99465 in conjunction with codes 99460, 99468, and 99477?
A)yes
B)no

I selected B-no :
on page 33 of my CPT 2009 professional edition it states right under the "new" code 99465 -
Do not report 99465 in conjunction with 99460, 99468, 99477)

sooooo I'm about to change what I believe is the "correct" answer to the wrong answer so I can print my certificate...

Did I miss something in this question or is the answer wrong? OR is my CPT book wrong?

There's an error on Edgeblast #118 question #5 also "5) What is the status indicator for HCPCS Level II code J3330 when paid under the OPPS?" <---no such code as J3330 -they mean J3300....

I wonder, who do we report this stuff too..if anyone?

CPT Correction

Got it! I found this in the CPT Errata listed on the AMA site:

Correct the description for consistency with the primary listing in Appendix A.
Evaluation and Management
Newborn Care Services
Delivery/Birthing Room Attendance and Resuscitation Services
99465 Delivery/birthing room resuscitation, provision of positive pressure ventilation and/or chest compressions in the presence of acute inadequate ventilation and/or cardiac output
(Do not report 99465 may be reported in conjunction with 99460, 99468, 99477)
Revise parenthetical instruction below 99465 to instruct that the listed services are appropriately reported in addition to 99465.

The code in Question 5 is J3300. It's in the article in edgeblast "2009 OPPS Final Rule Corrected". So, I think it's just a typo.

hi Anna - yes, I caught that before frustration set in I was just letting others know they meant J3300 on the question.,..yup - just a typo on that one....
