Hi we are billing for EEG's and was wondering if we might be missing some codes on the billing. We currently use CPT's:

95816
95819
95812
95813
95953

Any thoughts???

There are 2 other ones that I use quite often that I see you're missing:

95822-Electroencephalogram (eeg); recording in coma or sleep only

95824-Electroencephalogram; cerebral death evaluation only

I only use those codes for EEGs performed in our hospital.

There are also the following EEG codes, not sure if you will have any need for these.

95827, 95950, 95951, 95953, 95956-95958

We actually do only diagnostic EEG's in an outpatient setting. I also noticed that the medicare reimbursements on their fee schedule still are showing the reduction that was not passed at the end of last year, does anyone know if we will have to go back through and have them reprocess all our claims for the beginning of the year once they decide to update or will they automatically do this (highly doubtful!)

Check the AAN's website about that. I saw an article on there about both EEGs and EMGs, but I can't remember exactly what it said.
