I would appreciate some advice. Doc did EGD and found fluid in the fundus, he aspirated 200cc mixture of material from large stomach. Question: Would I use 43235 in this case. Thanks for the advice. I'm stumped.

43238 is an endoscopic ultrasound with fine needle aspiration (biopsy). This is not an appropriate code for the circumstance you've described.

I know this is 8 years too late, but to me I'd use an unlisted EGD code 43999
