GI provider sees patient for nausea and vomiting, and epigastric pain and orders EGD for further investigation.
During EGD Findings are pt has hiatal hernia K44.9 which is not payable per LCD. Can I use N&V R11.2 or R10.13 as primary
for payment?

yes if that was the reason for surgery you may. K44.9 is more of an incidental finding but still code as a secondary dx
