Hello, I have an EGD with bx and bravo probe placement.
I am confused as to if the EGD can be billed with the bravo probe when there are bx taken .
Pt had reflux
A scope was passed down through the pyloric channel and into the duodenum
it had mild doudenitis, random biopsies were taken..
The GE junction was at 36cm, there was distal esophagitis and biopsies were taken in 4 quadrants.
The Bravo probe was placed to 30 cm, suction was applied for 30 seconds and the probe was released.
EGD scope was placed back down in the esophagus and the probe appeared in good position.
So can I bill for the EGD H&P states planned procedure for the Bravo probe.
