Wiki EGD with CLO Test

Would you guys share how you code for an EGD with the CLO test being performed? When I was trained in for coding at this job, I was told we don't bill anything extra even when the CLO test is involved and still use 43235 as the physician portion. They specified the facility does bill differently through as it's their testing supplies being used (I solely bill for the physician portion). The doctor I work for was questioning if that's correct since he still is taking a biopsy, even though it's different from a regular biopsy when we'd bill 43239.

CLO stands for Campylobacter-like organism and is also known as the Rapid Urease Test. This diagnostic test is used for the detection of Helicobacter pylori by finding the presence of urease. Urease is an enzyme that is produced by Helicobacter pylori.

It is a biopsy 43239 test for H-pylori should be a path report as well.
I am a facility coder and this is what I code.

Depends on OP note if it states brushing/washing then 43235 if biopsy of stomach/gastric for H Pylori then 43239.
