Patient had Decompression of Ulnar Nerve, billed CPT 64718 for nerve decompression
Also had Olecranon Bursitis, Billed 24105 for Excision of the Olecranon Bursa

Medicare has denied the 64718 as inclusive to 24105

Do I have an appeal for payment on 64718?

When I run this through 3M it hits NCCI edits stating that 64718 is code 2 of a code pair with 24105 - if the ulnar nerve was released at the wrist it would not be bundled (64719). So it looks like you can only code the 24105 if both issues were at the elbow. Hope this helps...
