Wondering what the general consensus in on EM leveling for established patient contraceptive management visit. Patient wishes to start birth control, no problems or complaints, the required amount of ROS and EXAM components are done to meet the 99213 but MDM is obviously straightforward. Would you code a level 3? What about for new patient? What about for follow-up (refill only)?
