I have a question? if a new Dr moves from one faciltiy to another and brings his/her patients to the new clinic. Would you code those patients as new or established? Any help be greatly appreciated.

I have a question? if a new Dr moves from one faciltiy to another and brings his/her patients to the new clinic. Would you code those patients as new or established? Any help be greatly appreciated.
They would be considered established so long as they've had a face to face visit with the provider within the past 3 years, otherwise if it's been more than 3 yrs since they've seen this provider, they'd be new patients.

Yes , you can bill as established patient.
