I have a patient who was seen in our office by a PA, was referred to undergo an MRI, which was done in our office but the MRI is read by an outside radiologist. Patient was then back by one our surgeons, he counted for 1 Independent interpretation of a test performed by another physician/other qualified health care professional (not separately reported) (MRI Interpretation Knee (MRI Knee without contrast). This upped the level of service to a level 4. My question is, can he get credit for the read of the MRI which was performed in our office?
