We normally bill Emend (J1453) linked with diagnosis 787.01. Since Emend is indicated for "prevention of nausea and vomiting", I would think V07.8 (prophylactic or treatment measure) would be more appropriate. This is office setting. Any thoughts??
 
Is the Emend given as part of chemotherapy regimen?

When it is given as part of the chemotherapy session (which is nearly all the time for us), we code all drugs/admin codes that are part of the regimen with the chemotherapy code (V58.11) and the cancer code(s).
