If an emergency department physician requests that another specialty physician evaluates an ED patient, can both physicians (ED and specialty) charge an ED E&M? (99281-99285) Also, if the specialty physician is doing the follow up and put on a splint in the ED, can you charge a fracture care code along with the ED E&M? For example, CPT 27750. Thanks!
